This guide explains how to use the multifunction printers located on the Finance Side and Main Office.
These printers use PaperCut Hive to provide secure printing, scanning and copying services.
PaperCut Hive is used to securely release print jobs, scan documents to your Microsoft 365 email address and access the printer's device functions.
All printing, scanning and copying begins by logging in to PaperCut Hive.
The printer's built-in scanning functions are not used.
Before you can print, scan or copy, you must sign in using your personal PaperCut Hive PIN.
Select PaperCut Hive from the printer's home screen.
Enter your personal PIN.
Select Log In.
Wait for your name to appear on the screen before continuing.

When you have finished using the printer:
Select Log Out.
Wait until the login screen is displayed before leaving the printer.
Logging out helps protect your documents and prevents other users from accessing your account.
If you are unable to log in or have forgotten your PIN, please contact the IT Service Desk.
PaperCut Hive securely holds your print jobs until you arrive at the printer.
Log in to PaperCut Hive.
Select Print Release.
Review the list of documents waiting to be printed.
Choose one of the following options:
Release a single document.
Release multiple selected documents.
Release all documents.
Delete documents you no longer require.
Collect your printed documents before leaving the printer.

Your print jobs remain secure until you release them.
Print jobs that are not released within 24 hours are automatically deleted.
Always collect your documents immediately after printing.
PaperCut Hive automatically uses your Microsoft 365 email address once you have logged in.
There is no need to manually enter your email address.
Log in to PaperCut Hive.
Select Quick Scan.
Select Scan to Email.
Place your document:
Face down on the scanner glass for single pages.
Face up in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) for multiple pages.
Review or change the scan settings if required.
Press Scan.
Wait for the confirmation message.
Your scanned document will be delivered to your Microsoft 365 email inbox.

You can customise your scan using the following options:
Colour or Black & White
Single-sided or Double-sided
PDF (default file format)
Scan resolution
Paper size
Copying is performed through Device Functions within PaperCut Hive.
Before making copies, you must first log in to PaperCut Hive using your personal PIN.
Log in to PaperCut Hive.
Select Device Functions.
Select Copy.
Place your document:
Face down on the scanner glass for single pages.
Face up in the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) for multiple pages.
Adjust any required copy settings.
Press Start.
Collect your copies.
When you have finished, select Log Out before leaving the printer.

You can adjust the following options before copying:
Colour or Black & White
Single-sided or Double-sided
Number of copies
Reduce or Enlarge
Paper tray selection (where applicable)
If you experience any issues while using the printer, please contact the IT Service Desk.
Examples include:
Unable to log in to PaperCut Hive.
Print jobs do not appear.
Scanned documents are not received.
Printer displays an error message.
Any other issue while printing, scanning or copying.
